When a staircase is comprised of two straight flights with a landing in between there are two options: two straight stair lifts or one single curved stair lift. If an individual is able to transfer from one chair to the other at the landing, two straight stairlifts can be a viable option. One thing to consider is that should your loved one’s condition reach the point where transferring is no longer possible, you will have invested in equipment that is no longer useful. A curved stair lift eliminates the need for transfers between units, and will continue to provide safe transport as the user’s needs evolve. We installed a Harmar Helix CSL500 for this family. They are now able to zip up & down the stairs safely, and easily!
