This staircase floats in between two rooms with spindles on both sides. That is no problem! Since the stair lift track is affixed to the treads of the stairs and not to the wall, a floating staircase is still an appropriate, and perfectly safe application for a stair lift. However, the folding rail is vital to that safety! Folding rails at the end of a lift track add to the cost of the unit, but avoid causing a dangerous trip hazard. It is never worth compromising safety when investing in a stair lift! Our customers are so thrilled that they can now eliminate the anxiety of a potential fall on their main staircase!
