This project involved a same-day assessment and installation of two grab bars inside a fiberglass shower insert. The customer had recently undergone surgery and was struggling to shower safely due to pain and limited mobility when standing or rising from her shower bench.

The customer reached out to us on a Tuesday, explaining that even simple daily tasks — like taking a shower — had become painful and difficult. She needed something sturdy to hold onto while standing and supportive assistance to help her rise from her shower bench.
Before contacting us, she had already spoken with two other vendors who came out for assessments but declined the job, stating they could not install grab bars safely due to her 1” fiberglass shower insert with a gap to the drywall. Hurdles:
The biggest challenge was ensuring the grab bars could be safely and securely anchored without direct stud support. With the shower’s fiberglass construction and hollow gap, a standard installation was not possible. Safety and long-term stability were the top priorities.
