Project Overview:
This project involved installing a stairlift for a mother whose mobility made it difficult and unsafe to leave or enter her home without assistance. Her daughter, who lives in Columbia, wanted a reliable solution so her mother could maintain independence even when visits were less frequent.
Customer Story & Needs:
A concerned daughter reached out to us to explore options that would allow her mother to safely move in and out of her home. The mother’s mobility limitations had previously kept her confined to her home unless her daughter was available to assist. The family wanted a solution that offered safety, independence, and peace of mind.
Hurdles:
We presented four different solutions: two ramp designs, a vertical platform lift (VPL), and a stairlift. After a month of consideration, the daughter chose the stairlift. During installation, we had to add a dedicated outlet under the garage staircase to successfully power the unit.
Installation Process:
Our team conducted a thorough on-site assessment, confirmed measurements, and coordinated closely with the customer to ensure the stairlift met her mother's needs.
